Christmas Lights & Activities
Despite the lack of snow, Florida is still a great place to celebrate the holiday season. We’ve compiled a short list of what to do in our local area for the remainder of the holiday. Not only is so much more happening beyond this list, but you can just take a drive and make your own light tour as so many neighborhoods participate in the holiday spirit.
In Dunedin, one of the main events is the Cart Parade. Since the town is golf cart friendly, people decorate their carts and take a short parade through main street. The parade will begin at 7pm on Saturday the 19th. As a spectator on main street there is no fee.

In Safety Harbor, Harbor Holiday Nights will continue into this weekend (18th & 19th 5-9pm). Tickets are $4/person. The event is located at The Folly Farm Nature Preserve. This new family even feature food and craft, local vendors, a campfire for s’mores and live entertainment!

In Palm Harbor you can attend a family movie night on Friday the 18th at Centre Field. Santa Clause the movie will be the night’s entertainment with dinner available for just $5 and popcorn available with donation of a new & unwrapped gift. Dinner will be a choice of hamburger or hotdog with chips and a dessert.

In Tarpon Springs @ Safford House Museum, now until Jan. 6th 2021 you can visit the beautifully decorated Safford House. If you’re local to Tarpon Springs tickets are only $3/person compared to $5/person if you’re not local. Remember to have some sort of proof of residency if you plan on benefiting from the local discount. The last tour of the day begins at 2:30pm.

On Dec. 12, Clearwater Beach began 12 days of Christmas free events in an effort to support the local beach businesses.
• Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 17-19, 5 to 8 p.m. — Holiday photos with Santa Claus at the District on the 400 block of Cleveland Street
• Saturday, Dec. 19, 5 to 9 p.m. — Holiday photos with Santa Claus at Pier 60
• Sunday, Dec. 20, 5 to 8 p.m. — Christmas carolers visiting participating businesses at North Beach

In Clearwater, Santa is visiting some local neighborhoods on a bright red fire truck instead of his sleigh. Santa is visiting the area on the 17th and 18th from 6-8pm. Traveling with a private escort by the Clearwater Police Department with the beloved Jolly Trolly in cabuse.
