September Restaurant of The Month: El Huarache Azteca Dunedin
This month’s hunt for the best restaurants in or around Dunedin leads us less than a block away from The BP Team’s office to one of our very favorite and most frequently enjoyed restaurants, El Huarache Azteca Dunedin. I couldn’t be more excited to share this Dunedin gem with all of you! Hard working husband and wife, Orlando and Veronica, grew up in Mexico. They are parents to 4 daughters and restaurateurs that have spent the last 7 years pouring their heart and soul into this restaurant, El Huarache Azteca Dunedin, which boasts some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican Cuisine you will ever eat.

They have a great selection of cold beer. They also have some top notch Tequilas of which Casamigos, Corralejo and Villa One are my absolute favorites. Another great thing is the Chips and selection of Salsas. They will automatically bring you the mild but don’t be afraid to try the HOT or Pico de Gallo if you prefer. If you really want to feel the heat, ask them for some Diablo!! Some of our favorite dishes are Parrillada de Carnes (Pork Chops, Ham chop, Skirt Steak and Chorizo with Sauteed Jalapeno, Cactus and Scallions). I had this today. YUM! Some of our other favorites include the tacos mexicanos, Chorizo wet burrito with verde sauce and the Chicken Chimichanga with Mole sauce. If you like some of the more old-world, traditional stuff you can experience the taste of Mexico through the Tripa, Lingua, Menudo or Huarache. No matter what you choose, you won’t be disappointed.
